Donna J. Kuhl of Fond du Lac, WI went to join Don on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. She was born to Roman and Arlene Hoffman in Sleepy Eye, MN on July 17, 1929. She married Donald “Don” Kuhl on June 22, 1949. “The Rushmore farm boy meets the city slicker at the drug store.” Through their adventures, they built a beautiful life and family together.
Donna loved being with her family, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed family gatherings during holidays, weddings, and special events. Donna took great pleasure in her collecting, crocheting, and knitting. Each family member has a crocheted Christmas stocking that will be cherished more than ever. She liked a good card game or board game with just a bit of a competitive spirit.
She was very active in the Lady’s Elk Club when she lived in Maumee, OH, she was Lady Elk of the year in 1977. She had a strong faith in the Lord and loved going to her church. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church and past member of St. Ann’s Mission Quilters and Holy Family Christian Women.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kuhl and her parents, Roman and Arlene Hoffman and Arvesta Hoffman. She is survived by her three children, Charles (Diane) Kuhl of Fond du Lac, WI, Sandy (William) Russell of Fort Collins, CO, and Mike (Teresa) Kuhl of Plainwell, MI; seven grandchildren, Sarah Schabow, Dan Kuhl, Megan Russell, Nicole Froman, Jordan Kuhl, Zachary Kuhl, and Courtney Farrar; twelve great grandchildren, Cole and Ethan Schabow, James and Madison Pedrosa, Pierce, Teagan, and Brynn Froman, Ellie and Hudson Phillips, Ezra Farrar, Olivia and Harper Kuhl. She is also survived by her sister, Yvonne (Bonnie) Staubus of Edina, MN.
Donna left her family a meticulous accounting of the family history. Family was everything to her, as she was to them. Strong willed, soft spoken, and loving… she’s now in God’s arms.
The family is grateful for the exceptional care provided at Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI.
There will be a small celebration of Donna’s life at a later date.
