On December 15, 2023, Aaron Bentley Christensen took his last breath in this life and went on his big adventure to Heaven. Aaron was an absolute joy to everyone who met him. When he wasn’t scrolling through YouTube videos on whatever Apple device he could get his hands on, he loved going on adventures. Aaron loved going on long nature walks, helping at the library, and browsing the toy aisles at Target. In the summer, we could barely get Aaron in the house. He spent most of those warm days digging up our backyard with a hose and his hands. He made an entire canal and a couple mini swimming holes!
In this life, Aaron was nonverbal, but he had such a big voice. He learned very early on how to convey his wants and needs to his family. Aaron was quick to ask for water, Little Caesar’s, and Kwik Trip bars. He was just as quick to let people know when he didn’t like something. Aaron walked this earth with such a strong will.
Aaron was born on June 16, 2011, in Appleton, Wisconsin to Sara and Drew Christensen. He is survived by his parents of Fond du Lac, his siblings, Jayden, Madisyn, Mathew, and Baylee, all of Fond du Lac, his grandparents, Bruce and Pamella Christensen of La Grange, Illinois, and Charles and Kimberly Bennett of Sterling, Illinois. Aaron is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best buddy, Clara.
Aaron was preceded in death by his big sister, Alyssa Lena Olalde. We know Alyssa was waiting to greet Aaron when he arrived in Heaven, and we are certain they are having the best time ever.
Aaron loved Spider-Man and he left this world as a true superhero. Aaron was able to donate his kidneys, liver, and pancreas to three separate people. We are so incredibly proud Aaron was able to change the lives of these individuals and their families.
There will be a visitation for Aaron on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 3:00 PM -5:00 PM, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the same location. We encourage everyone to wear Spider-Man apparel, if possible. We know Aaron would love it!
We would like to thank Aaron’s Critical Care Team at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, who cared for our baby, and us, like we were all family. A special thank you to our favorite doctor, Daniel, who let Aaron’s mom razz him every day, listened for as long as needed, and cried with us; and our favorite nurse, Bri, who always had the right words.
Services are in the care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Additional information and guestbook can be found at ueckerwitt.com
