Agnes E. King

Agnes E. King, age 92, of 2500 E. College Ave, Appleton, formerly of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at her daughter's residence. Agnes was born on November 26, 1914 in Mt. Calvary the daughter of Maxwell C. and Pauline (Schmitz) Atkinson Sr. On April 18, 1939 she married Ambrose J. King at Holy Cross Church, Mt. Calvary. Prior to marriage, Agnes worked as a beautician at Hills Beauty Salon. She was a member of Church of the Presentation B.V.M. She made crafts for the church festival. She was a member of the Good Sam Club, the Fox Valley Rovers, and was a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and playing cards.SURVIVORS: five children, Janice M. King of Appleton, Joyce (Walter) Willie of Van Dyne, Karen (Marvin) Gustman of Oconto Falls, Linda (Guy) Sternitzky of North Fond du Lac, Lee King of Mazomanie, grandchildren, Diane (Ken) Cunningham of Berlin, WI, Donna (Craig) Baltz of Red Granite, WI, Tracy (Chris) Wills of Diamondhead, MS, Christy (Willy) Wedemeyer of Albuerquerque, NM, Vicki (Jesse) Parker of De Pere, WI, Michelle (Jason) Nathrop of Whitewater, WI, Michael Dalton of Shawano, WI, Melissa (Joe) Bloemers of Ripon, WI, Jennifer King and Shaun King of Sauk City, WI, Aaron King of Mazamanie, WI, and Nathan King of Sauk City, WI, great-grandchildren, Rafe Marichal of Diamondhead, MS, Kaelie Cunningham of Berlin, WI, Steven Parker and Lauren Parker of De Pere, WI, and also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ambrose on May 3, 1987, two sons, James Edward and Dan Richard, "adopted daughter" Marge VerVoort, brothers and sisters, Anthony (Tony) and Thelma (Tommy) Schmitz, Donald and Genevieve Atkinson, Willard and Lotus Atkinson, Harold and Pauline Jeske, Maxine and Babe Roehrig, Maxwell (Buddy) and Myrtle Atkinson, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret (Marie) King, Burnell (Bernie) and Charlotte King, Dorothea Schmitz, Lawrence F. and June King, Blandine and Michael Sobralske, mother and father in law, John J. and Della King.



VISITATION: Thursday, June 21, 2007 from 9-11 A.M. at Church of the Presentation B.V.M. 705 Michigan Ave, North Fond du Lac, WI. FUNERAL MASS: Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Church of the Presentation B.V.M. with the Reverend John Simon officiating.
