Agnes P. Edwards, age 98, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Woodlands Senior Park. She was born on November 17, 1918, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Guran) Pirkov. Agnes married Clarence V. “Blackie” Edwards in 1947. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2001. Agnes was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul for over sixty years. She was the joint-founder of the Cathedral Mouse Factory; a volunteer organization that has helped raise thousands of dollars for many, many causes over the years. Agnes spent most of her adult life making custom drapery for a countless number of clients, friends, and family members. She enjoyed fishing and duck hunting, and she never missed an opportunity to pursue either one. In fact, from 1947 until 2009, she never missed the family trip to Brule, WI for Steelhead Trout in the fall.
Survivors include two grandsons, Stan C. Edwards and his wife Alexa; along with their children, Zachary, Vivian, Matthew, and Leah; Eric C. Edwards, and his wife Kerrie; along with their two children, Orion, and Bryn; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence V. “Blackie” Edwards; and three sons, William, Matthew, and Stanley.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 9 AM until 12 noon at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, 51 W. Division St, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the Cathedral. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place in the Cathedral Columbarium.
