ALBERT "ABBIE" CARL HASSAlbert "Abbie" Carl Hass, age 83, of 1604 Minnesota Ave, North Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 20, 1923 in Eldorado the son of Henry and Mathilda (Weber) Hass. On October 11, 1947 he married Audrey J. Potratz at St. John's Church in Nekimi. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army from May of 1945 to December of 1946. Abbie grew up in Eldorado and was a North Fond du Lac resident since 1947. He worked from thirty-six years at Soo Line Railroad until retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. John's in Nekimi, American Legion Trier-Puddy Post #75, Eagles Aerie #270, and the VFW in Fond du Lac. Abbie loved collecting German steins.SURVIVORS: his wife, Audrey of North Fond du Lac, one brother Art (Elsie) Hass of Van Dyne, one sister, Anita (Reuben) Hinz of Van Dyne, brother in law, Marlow (Marlene) Potratz of Van Dyne, and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Gary Hass, one brother, Norbert Hass.



VISITATION: Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Friday, October 19, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend James Reiff officiating. Entombment will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. American Legion Trier-Puddy Post #75 will conduct military graveside services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
