Albert Paul Frank

Albert P. Frank, Sr., 86, a lifelong resident of Fond du Lac and a resident of St. Francis Home for the past 2 months passed peacefully into the arms of His Lord with his family present on Tuesday Oct. 27, 2009. He was born March 14, 1923, the 4th son of the late Paul and Anastasia Thomas Frangopoulos. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. On August 23, 1952 he married Donna Mae Butz at St. Claudius Church in St. Cloud, WI, having celebrated 57 years together. Al graduated from Fond du Lac High School, already an entrepreneur. His drive started him on his lifelong journey to success. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many happy times with his family, friends and especially, his grand and great grandchildren. He touched the lives of many by being a leader, a role model and a compassionate human being. His legacy will live on in all of our hearts and he will be greatly missed by all, and his dear buddy Mickey, his shih tzu. He was a lifetime member of the Order of Ahepa and a 64-year continuous member of The American Legion. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Peter, Charles and his wife Diana, Nick and his wife Muriel. He is survived by his wife, Donna Mae and their five children, Albert Paul (Fiancée Jillayne Bertram) Frank Jr. of Chilton, WI; Patrick (Cindy Jaber) Frank, of Fond du Lac; Mary Rinden (special friend Michael Hammes) of Fort Myers, FL; Peter J. (Elizabeth) Frank Sr. of St. Cloud, WI; and Cathy Frank (Steve) du Pont of Fayetteville, GA and a sister-in-law Elizabeth Frank of Fond du Lac. Grandchildren include: Albert Paul (Jill Gerrits) Frank III of Chilton, WI, Peter Jon (Fiancée Amanda) Frank Jr. of Fond du Lac, Stephen Frank of Atlanta, GA, Aric (Fiancée Madeline) of Sarasota, FL, Amanda Rinden of Fort Myers, FL, Jennifer Rinden (James) Sharpe of Cheshire, England, Leah Frank of Oahu Hawaii, Michael (special friend Sheena) Frank of Oshkosh, WI, Justin du Pont of Altanta, GA, Daniel Frank of Fond du Lac, Stephanie Rinden (Justin) Check of Estero, FL, Trevor du Pont of Statesboro, GA, Anthony Frank of LaCross, WI, Parker Frank du Pont of Statesboro, GA, Taylor Mae du Pont of Fayetteville, GA, Robert Paul Frank of Fond du Lac, Aron Frank of Fond du Lac, Sophia Frank of St. Cloud, WI, and step grandchildren, Aaron and Samantha Frank of St. Cloud, WI. Great grandchildren include Jackson Frank, of Fond du Lac, Alyssa, Addison and Afton Ann Frank of Chilton, WI



Visitation for Albert P. Frank, Sr. will be on Friday, October 30, 2009, from 4 to 8 pm, and on Saturday, October 31st from 10 to 11 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home 524 N. Park Ave. Fond du Lac, WI. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday at the funeral home, and 11:30 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 198 N. Macy Street, Fond du Lac. The Rev. Peter Pappademetriou will officiate and entombment will be in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. A Friday evening Trisaigon service will be held at 7 pm at the funeral home.
