Alfred P. "Fritz" Haensgen

June 29, 1932 — August 31, 2008

Alfred (Fritz) P. Haensgen, 76, formerly of W4216 Gladstone Beach, and a resident of Kindred Hearts since August 6th of this year, died on August 31, 2008. He was born June 29, 1932, in Johnsburg, the son of Louis and Mary (Kirsten) Haensgen. On September 2, 1952, he married Rosemary (Rosie) Koenigs at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. Fritz had been a member of St. John's Church. He served on the Calumet Fire Department for 27 years and was a member of the Johnsburg Redmen and East Shore Lions Club. He was a farmer in Johnsburg for 28 years was employed at the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic for 12 years and after that Brenner Tank.Surviving is his wife, Rosemary and eight children: Allan Haensgen of Illinois, Dennis (Nellie) Haensgen of Johnsburg, Duane (Mary) Haensgen of New Holstein, Mark (LuAnn) Haensgen of St. Peter, Laurie (Steve) Hull of Virginia, Lynn (Jim) Watry of Johnsburg, Gary (Michele) Haensgen of Fond du Lac, Lisa (Chris) Olig of Fond du Lac and fourteen grandchildren. He is further survived by two brothers, Sylvester Haensgen of Fond du Lac, Orville (Mildred) Haensgen of Johnsburg; two sister in laws, Frances Haensgen and Mary Agnes Haensgen; one brother in law, Ervin Bartel all of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Marvin, Leander and Clarence; and a sister, Adell Bartel.



Visitation for Mr. Alfred (Fritz) P. Haensgen will be on September 3, 2008, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on September 4, 2008 a Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Church-Johnsburg, 10:00 am. The Rev. Father Joseph Coerber will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9 am until the hour of service.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jones, the staff of Kindred Hearts, hospice, neighbors and friends for their compassionate care through Fritz's long illness. The family would appreciate memorials directed towards the Alzheimer's Association in Fritz's memory.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
