Alfrieda P. (Stephanie) Goebel

Alfrieda P. (Stephanie) Goebel, 89, of Dotyville, died on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on December 16, 1931, in St. Joe, WI, the daughter of Alfred and Martha (Braun) Stephanie. On August 12, 1953, she married Leo J. Goebel Jr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe. Alfrieda was an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Dotyville. She was a active member of the Altar Society. Alfrieda loved farming, gardening, crocheting, and spending many hours dancing with her husband Leo.



She is survived by her husband, Leo; four daughters, Linda Goebel, Diane (James) Schmitz, Maureen (Andrew) Bauer, and Christine (William) Giebel; three sons, Richard (Shelly) Goebel, Stephen (Kathleen) Goebel, and Leo (Karen Baumhardt) Goebel; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Freund, Virginia Steffen, and Irene Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Martha Stephanie; sister, Rose Ziegelbauer; and two brothers, Ralph and Anthony Stephanie.



The visitation will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Shepherd of the Hills Church, W1532 County Road B, Eden, WI 53019 and then again on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, following the visitation, with entombment to follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
