Alice C. Hoeppner, age 79, of 566 Bragg St., Fond du Lac, died Friday, July 20, 2007 at her residence. She was born on July 18, 1928 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John and Ellen (Burgess) Wood. She married Darold Hoeppner in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1985. Alice had worked as a switchboard operator; she also worked for the Green Spot Café, Giddings and Lewis, Mercury Marine, and New Era. She was a charter member of Sacred Heart Church and an active member of Holy Family Parish. Alice enjoyed fishing, gardening, bus trips, and story telling.SURVIVORS: two sons, Stephen (Linda) Hoeppner of North Fond du Lac, Gerald Hoeppner of Union Grove, two grandchildren, Linda Hoeppner of Milwaukee, John (Rebecca Longdin) Hoeppner of Milwaukee, two sisters, Nora Sabel of Fond du Lac, Lorraine Higuchi of Spokane, WA, two brothers, Franklin Wood of North Fond du Lac, John (Dorothy) Wood of Rochester, MN, sisters and brothers in law, Otto and Dorothy Zupke, Therese Wood, Joseph Zamzow, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Darold, her mother and father in law, Christ and Louise Hoeppner, two brothers, Hank Wood and David Wood, one sister, Aileen Zamzow, brothers and sisters in law, Ray and Hilda Hoeppner and Vernon and Myrtle Hoeppner.
VISITATION: Tuesday, July 24, 2007 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church with Father Victor Capriolo officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.
