Alphonse R. Braun

Alphonse R. Braun, age 88, of Malone, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in St. Peter on January 14, 1924 the son of John and Gertrude Schneider Braun. On April 4, 1951 he married LaVerne R. Schaefer at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Dotyville. Alphonse farmed on the family homestead his entire life retiring in 1986. After retirement he enjoyed helping the boys on the family farm. He was a life-long member of Holy Family-St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter and was a member of the church choir for 65 years. Alphonse was a member of the Catholic Knight Branch No. 19. He enjoyed bowling in the Men's Ledgeview Bowling League and the Tuesday Mixed Bowling League. Alphonse enjoyed all sports. He especially enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife LaVerne Braun, of St. Peter, two daughters Mary (special friend Dean) Rux, of Oregon, WI, and her son, Jeremiah (Heidi) Rux, and their children, Cade and Lukas; Chris (Kurt) Rockweit of Fond du Lac, and their two daughters,Shauna (Mike) Zimmerman, and their children, Rachel, Eli, Kate, Nate; Sheri (Tim) Krempien, and their children, Abby, Ryan, and Nevie. Alphonse is further survived by one brother Ambrose (Helen) Braun, Taycheedah, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters; Martha (Fred) Stephanie, Rose (William) Abler, Olive (Ray) Stephanie, Mary (Peter) Becker, Angela Braun, Sally (Ervin) Schaefer, five brothers; Melchior Braun, Alois (Bernice) Braun, Herman (Mildred) Braun, Isidore (Agnes) Braun and Leander (Germaine) Braun.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Holy Family Parish-St. Peter's Church, St. Peter. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Family Parish-St. Peter's Church.
