Alvina I. Kollmann, 86, of Oakfield, went to her heavenly home Monday, January 9, 2012 at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born February 8, 1925 in Tomahawk, WI, the daughter of Karl and Hilda Peterson Kottmann. Alvina was a 1942 graduate of Tripoli High School and was valedictorian of her class. On December 5, 1942 she married Carlyle F. Kollmann in Oakfield. She managed her husband's milk route for many years and also drove the milk route when Carlyle was unable. Alvina was a member of St. Luke's Ev. Lutheran Church, Oakfield and was a member of the Ladies Aide and taught Sunday School for 37 years. She worked on the election board in the Town of Oakfield for many years and reported the Oakfield News to the Fond du Lac Reporter. She was a past member of the Oakfield High School Band Boosters, Homemaker's Club, and a 4-H Leader. Alvina also volunteered at many blood drives and for the reading program at Belle Reynolds Elementary School in Oakfield. Alvina enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, music and loved reading.SURVIVORS: her husband, Carlyle; four children, Janice Kollmann, Fond du Lac, John (Pamela) Kollmann, Oakfield, Kathy (Jim) Flynn, Shelbyville, IN, Kay (Dann) Reynolds, Rineyville, KY; 13 grandchildren, John (Therese) Krause, Laura (Erick) Ruotsala, Jonell Kollmann, Greg Kollmann, Michele (Steve) Sandstrom, Kevin (Taffy) Flynn, Jacqueline Flynn, Michael Kollmann, Eileen Kollmann, Patrick Flynn, Scott Flynn, Nick Flynn, Megan Reynolds; 12 great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Rudolph Kollmann, Fond du Lac; one sister-in-law, Marie Kollmann, Juneau; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters-in-law.
VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 8 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Friday from 10 "“ 11 AM at church. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 13, 2012 at St. Luke's Ev. Lutheran Church, Oakfield with Rev. Christopher Goelzer officiating. Burial will follow in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.Memorials are appreciated to St. Luke's Ev.
