Amalia “Molly” M. Steinbring, 87, of Kiel, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Willowdale Nursing Home in New Holstein. She was born April 14, 1935 in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Knoll) McCarthy. Her dad passed away when Molly was a year old and was later raised by Emmet Wolter. On July 26, 1958 she married Gyle F. Steinbring in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2012.
Molly enjoyed sewing, making many costumes for her grandchildren and others. She was an avid reader, and also loved hunting, fishing, bowling, animals, watching movies, and Harley Davidson rides, taking her last ride at 84 years old with her son-in-law, Ronald Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Ronald Jr.) Phillips of Kiel; her grandchildren, Brian Jr. (Brianna) Vinney, Cody (Megan) Vinney, Brandy (Travis) Geschke, Todd Lisowe, and Duke (Brittany) Steinbring; her great grandchildren, Grant, Brooklyn, Bristol, Alara, Berkley, Merida, Lucus, Anthony, Grace, and two on the way. She is further survived by her brother, Ronnie Wolter of New York; sister-in-law, Lois Mathews of New Holstein; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Michael; her granddaughter, Kelly Lisowe; sister-in-law, Verlie Wolter; brother-in-law, Vince Mathews and other in laws.
The visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
