Amiee L. Thompson

Amiee L. Jurgensmier Thompson, 39, of Fond du Lac, found peace on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Hospice Home of Hope after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1974 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of David and Marsha Dunn Jurgensmier. Amiee was a graduate of Goodrich High School, Class of 1992. She worked for the Graphic Center for over 15 years. Amiee was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Fond du Lac County Horse Project, Eden Rod and Gun Club, Wisconsin Paint Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, and Wisconsin Quarter Horse Association. She was also a Fond du Lac County 4-H Leader, was a co-founding coordinator for WIHA, and a co-founder of Hoofs & Paws for a Cause Relay for Life Team. Amiee enjoyed trapshooting, coon hunting, motorcycles, sturgeon spearing, and hunting. Her greatest joy was her many 4-H kids and her great love of horses.She is survived by her mother, Marsha Jurgensmier; two sisters, Tammy (Jeff) Kottke, Slinger and Julie Roloff, Fond du Lac; one brother, Frank (Carrie) Lueck, Eden; nephews, Joseph, Joshua and Hunter; niece, Hannah. She is further survived by her uncle, Brian (Darlene) Dunn, Oshkosh; her former husband, Sean Thompson, TN; best friends, Alisa, Mary Jo and Moni; her dogs, Annie Pee and Addie Mae; and her many special horses; many cousins and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, David and her maternal and paternal grandparents.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 "“ 7:30 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, volunteers and staff of the Hospice Home of Hope for the excellent care, kindness and love given to Amiee and her family during this difficult time.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
