Andrew J. Krenn, Sr., 89, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac. He was born March 2, 1925 in Shiocton, WI a son of the late Jake and Minnie Krenn. On May 19, 1949, he married Wilhelmine “Willy” Wacha in Frankfurt, Germany, by military services.
Andrew was a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War Two, Korea and retiring in 1965. He worked for Karl Kiekhaefer and Mercury Marine where he retired from after 20 years of employment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being a great grandfather and father.
He is survived by his four children; Thomas (Kim), Andrew Krenn, Jr., Marie Longdin and Peggy Vogt all of Fond du Lac as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and 14 siblings.
A visitation for Andrew will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery with military honors presented by American Legion Trier-Puddy Post #75.
