Anita D. Bigsby, age 83 of 394 Ruggles Street, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident for the past month. She was born in Glendale Township, Monroe County, Wisconsin on June 17, 1926 the daughter of Emil and Bertha Scheibel Ziese. On July 13, 1946 Anita married Howard F. Bigsby in Fond du Lac with Reverend B. J. Stecker officiating. Anita worked for the SOO Line Railroad for 36 years retiring in 1980.She was a member of Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. She enjoyed watching" Days of Our Lives," "Wheel of Fortune "and reading.SURVIVORS: Anita is survived by her husband Howard Bigsby, Fond du Lac, two children, Terrance "Terry" (special friend Barb Ablard) Bigsby, Fond du Lac, and Patricia (Claire) Heidger, Almond, eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Phyllis Marie Bigsby and Betty Jane Ziegler, and five brothers.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 4 to 8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM from Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran, 363 South Main Street. Reverend William Gruenstern will officiate. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.Memorials appreciated to Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran- Debt Fund.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
