Anita E. Smith

Anita E. Smith, age 88 of 653 West Arndt Street, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident since November 2008. Anita was born on April 29, 1920 in North Fond du Lac the daughter of Alfred G. and Esther Apitz Smith. She was a graduate of North Fond du Lac High School Class of 1938. Anita worked at Homan Furniture, Blakely Auto Parts, and Wells Manufacturing where she retired from in January 31, 1983. She was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Society. Anita was a life- time member of American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting.SURVIVORS: Anita is survived by her sister, Sylvia (Kenneth) Kielman, Fond du Lac, three nephews, four great-nephews, and a great-niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Alfred C. (Helen) Smith.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Thursday, January 8, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 606 Forest Avenue, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Fred Toppe officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church Organ Fund.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
