Anna "Ann" M. " Hess

Anna "Ann" M. Hess, 79, of Fond du Lac, passed away Friday, November 08, 2013 at the Hospice Home of Hope surrounded by her loving family. Ann fought a courageous battle with Mesothelioma (a form of lung cancer) for over four years. She was born January 21, 1934 in Dotyville, WI, the daughter of August and Elsie (Kramer) Drolshagen. On May 5, 1956, she married Charles Hess at St. Mary's church in Fond du Lac. Ann worked for many years in food preparation for the Fond du Lac School District as well as for Marian University. She was an active member of the American Legion and the Eagles Women's Auxiliary as well as the Fond du Lac Senior Center. Ann was a member of Holy Family Parish, a devout gambling enthusiast, an avid golfer, a member of the Eagles Women's pool league and the American Legion dart ball team, and loved to bowl. She and Chuck loved trips to the casino and a little double bubble. Ann also loved to cook, bake and prepare food for her family, and cruising in her Mustang convertible.Surviving Ann are one son; Bob (Jana) Hess of Fond du Lac, two daughters; Cindy (Lewis) Blank of Oshkosh and Pam (Jerry) Hall of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren; Jacob Hess of Fond du Lac, Angela (Chris) Price of Salt Lake City, UT, Nicci Hess of Fond du Lac, Jordan Hall of Fond du Lac and Jason (Cara) Blank of Fond du Lac, and one great-granddaughter, Arya Price; one brother, Leonard (Donna) Drolshagen of Florida; a sister, Ethel Lohse of Fond du Lac and a special aunt, Dolores Wilhelms of Fond du Lac.She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one infant daughter, Susan, and a brother, David "Reb" Drolshagen. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Aurora Medical Center (Fond du Lac and Oshkosh), the St. Francis Home, Hospice Home of Hope, and the staff at St. Agnes hospital.



A visitation will be held from 1-5PM, November 16, 2013 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5PM at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
