Anna J. Guy

Anna (Annie) J. Guy, 84, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully with family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 20, 1940, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John and Mary (Nett) Loehr. Annie was a graduate of St. Mary’s Spring High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree from Alverno College. After graduation, she worked for Proctor and Gamble, traveling all around the U.S. On May 8, 1965, she married Pat Guy at St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Peter. 

 Annie and Pat owned Pat Guy Paint and Glass for 24 years, and Annie was an integral part of making the business a success. In her retirement, she worked at Haentze’s Floral and volunteered at the Agnesian Hospital gift shop. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and a very active member of the Altar Society at St. Peter Church, where she worked at countless funeral luncheons. 

 In Annie’s free time, she loved to read, sew, travel, garden, can and freeze their garden harvest, and take walks. She loved being near the water and listening to the waves. Her greatest love was for her family. She was a warm and welcoming hostess and enjoyed sharing her home, sense of humor, and meals with family and friends. Annie always had the house decorated for each holiday during the year.

 She is survived by her husband, Patrick; three children, Mary Guy, Ann (Eric) Bachar, and Jennifer (Andy) Pilsl; six grandchildren, Joe, Haley, Charlie, Henry, Anna, and Emma; cousin, Ruth Schommer; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary; and sister, Mary Ruebl.

 The visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at church. Cremation has taken place. 

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to be distributed to the Holyland Food Pantry and the Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library.
