Anna M. Guse

Anna M. Guse, 96, formerly of 250 6th Street, and a resident of St. Francis Nursing Home for the past two months, died Monday, December 5, 2011. She was born July 20, 1915, in Dodge County, the daughter of Battiste and Appolonia Dalle Nogare Del Ponte. On October 23, 1935, she married Gebhard R. Guse in Campbellsport. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1974. Anna was a member of Holy Family Parish. Her passions for life included a strong faith, and a love for her family. She was an excellent seamstress and knitter and enjoyed making Afghans, mittens, slippers, and hats for needy children. Anna was formerly employed by Florence Eiseman Company and Infant Socks. Surviving are three sons, Robert B. (Annette) Guse of Brownsville, WI, Roger R. Guse of Sycamore, IL, and John G. Guse of Rockford, IL, a daughter, Gloria (David) Buck of Alcoa, TN, 11 grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) Buck, Marti (Jim) Molpus, Amy Fritz, Becky (Andy) Hunt, Sara (Chad) Zimmel, Robby (Danielle) Buck, Diana Appolonia (Christopher) Divine, Megan (Amit) Sudharshan, Peter, Daniel, and David Guse, and nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Melvin (Rose Ann) Del Ponte of Campbellsport. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, infant twins, Donald and Ronald, and Richard, four sisters, Mary Marini, triplets, Caroline Johnston, Nella Del Ponte, and Erna Kregel, five brothers, Battiste, Peter, Tranquillo, Dante, and Victor Del Ponte.



Visitation for Anna M. Guse will be on Thursday, December 8, 2011, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. A Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at the church on Thursday. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
