Anneliese Johanna Basler, 80, died peacefully in her home on September 04, 2009. She was born October 21, 1928 in Holm by Wedel, Germany; the daughter of Rudolph and Berta Dora (Weiland) Wallbaum. Anneliese was pregnant with her son David when she, her first husband Micheal Swietlicki and their daughter, Sonja came to the United States in 1949. Anneliese was a nurse by trade upon arrival to the US, and continued her employment in the health care industry and private nursing. Anneliese later married William D. Basler in Kansas City, Missouri in1959. Anneliese loved to work, keep a clean house, pay her bills on time, garden, and spoil her little Tyna Louise. She was a very giving woman, despite the fact that she was living on a pension, she gave to many charitable organizations such as The VFW, COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors,) National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, St. Jude, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Council of Indian Affairs and the ASPCA. Mom insisted that so long she had enough money to cover the bills, giving what she could to charity was of better use. Anneliese was also a 19 year member of American Legion Auxillary Post 364 of Winneconne, WI. Mom retired from private nursing aftercaring for her husband William, and his death in 1990, and she continued to live in her own home until her passing.
