April L. Smith

April L. Smith, 35, of Eden, passed peacefully at her home with her loving mother at her side on Thursday, May 31, 2018, after a long courageous fight that she fought hard. April was born January 22, 1983 to Steve and Tammy Smith in Fond du Lac. April attended Campbellsport School District till she graduated in 2004. After graduation she attended the ARC in Fond du Lac.



April was a fun loving young lady who is best known for saying things like “whatever”, “how are you doing”, and “sit down”. April would love when people would come to visit her, especially her very special friend, Mary Jo Wiesner, whom she will miss. She also had an amazing care taker, Sharon Gudex for 18 years, who April would call out for when she came to care for her, April loved her so much, she was more than just her care taker, she was a friend who spent a lot of time with April and the family. For the past year she had another care taker, Diane Cratchy, who cared for her.



April had many favorite things in her life, such as she loved to watch game shows and church on TV, she loved to create music on her piano for everyone to enjoy, but what April loved the absolute most was her books she would look at all the time.

April would not want her friends and loved ones to cry and be sad due to her passing, but instead to think of her and smile, smile that she is free from all the bad and is at peace and that she will see everyone again one day.



April is survived by her mother, Tammy Smith of Eden; one brother, Shawn Smith and special friend, Dani; aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Smith and paternal and maternal grandparents.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the traditional services.



In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in April’s name.
