Arlene A. Cardinal, age 54, of 341 Grove St, Fond du Lac passed away peacefully at home unexpectedly on Thursday, May 10, 2007. She was born in Fond du Lac on August 14, 1952 the daughter of Franklin and Alice (Zeleske) Boudry. On March 16, 1974 she was married to the love of her life, Jerry Cardinal, at St. Patrick's Church, by Father Edward Sippel. Now Arlene and Jerry are eternally united in heaven. Arlene was a member of Holy Family- Sacred Heart Parish. She enjoyed taking pictures and helping others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her wonderful family, charismatic friends, her niece Jenna, grandson Jackson, and her two dogs, Little Missy and Oni. Arlene was also very excited anticipating the arrival of her granddaughter Andree. Fortunately, Arlene was able to enjoy an early Mother's Day Gift from her three children. She and her daughter went to see Rod Stewart in concert. They had a very memorable time, as Rod Stewart was one of Arlene's favorite singers. Arlene will be greatly missed by all who knew her.She is survived by her children, Kevin (Jenny Novotny) Cardinal of Oshkosh, Kurt Cardinal of Fond du Lac, and Sara (Justin) Szatkowski of Fond du Lac, her grandson Jackson, her brother, Bill (Linda) Boudry of Hartford, three sisters, Jane (Bruce) Braun of Fond du Lac, Lori Mundt (special friend David Krebsbach) of Fond du Lac, Renee Boudry of Fond du Lac, brother in law, Mel Meyers of Fond du Lac, sister in law, Margie (Phil) St. Mary of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, special niece Jenna, and great nieces, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry on November 23, 2004, mother and father in law, Florian and Dorothy Smith Cardinal, her sister, Mary Meyer, a niece, a nephew, and a great niece.
VISITATION: Monday, May 14, 2007 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 10:00 A.M at Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church with the Reverend James Jaeger and Reverend Edward Sippel officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral from 8:30 A.M. until the time of prayers at 9:30 A.M.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
