Arlene E. Posey

Arlene E. Posey, 94, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. Francis Home. She was born June 30, 1923 in Woodville, WI, the daughter of Helmer and Olga (Amundson) Lee. On July 4, 1942 she married John J. Posey in Eau Claire, WI. Arlene was a member of St. Paul’s Cathedral. She enjoyed playing cribbage and other card games, solving word searches, needlepoint and embroidery, listening to the radio, especially the Brewers, eating sweets, keeping in touch with her relatives in Norway, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.



She is survived by four children, John (Kathryn) Posey of McHenry, IL, David (Connie) Posey of Wisconsin Rapids, James (Susan) Posey of Stillwater, OK, and LeAnne Schabel of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren, Susanna (Anthony Janairo) Brown, Elizabeth (Sam Nugent) Brown, Adam (Antonia) Posey, Samuel (Carrie) Posey, Angela (Peter) Strangfeld, John Posey, Michael Posey, and Justin (Tracy) Schabel; nine great grandchildren, Sean Janairo, Ethan and Evan Posey, Ava and Anthony Manion, Sara and Nora Posey, Emily, Madison, and Brooke Strangfeld; sisters-in-law, Kay Lee of Eau Claire and Margaret Nelson of Eldorado Hills, CA; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, daughter, Carolyn Brown; great granddaughter, Ramona Schabel; four brothers, Curtis (Jean) Lee, Harvey (Betty) Lee, Robert Lee, and Roland Lee.



The visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at St. Paul’s Cathedral. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.



In lieu of flowers a memorial in Arlene’s name will be established.
