Arlene E. Scheel

Arlene E. Scheel, 83 of Fond du Lac died Friday, December 8, 2006 at West Allis Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rush Lake on May 18, 1923 the daughter of Archie and Esther Griese Schroeder. In 1946 she married Ralph Scheel. He preceded her in death in June 1999. Arlene was a member of Hope Lutheran Church for 48 years and enjoyed her time spent with Mission Sewing, Women's Aglow, the Bethesda Shop and participating in activities supporting the local nursing homes. She found great joy in her relationship with Christ and sharing it with others. Arlene thoroughly liked to eat at fast food restaurants and ride her purple moped around town.She is survived by her son, Ralph Jerry (Tammy) Scheel, Combined Locks, grandchildren, Erik Scheel, Sonjia (Jim) Maynard, Menasha, great-granddaughter, Mallory, a sister Emily Knuth, Shawano, a sister-in-law, Bonnie Schroeder, Tempe, AZ and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Archie Schroeder, Jr. and a brother-in-law, Bill Knuth.



Friends may call on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Hope Lutheran Church from 1!:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. at Hope Lutheran Church with Reverend Arthur Callies officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum." Her family would like to thank her friends for the many cards and letters she received during her two month stay in Milwaukee Hospitals, and a special thanks for all the prayers."Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
