Arlene L. Pea, 84, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. She was born May 25, 1934 in the Town of Alto, the daughter of Oris and Dena (Veleke) Pautsch. Arlene graduated from Oakfield High School Class of 1952. On June 11, 1955 she married Irvin T. Pea at Oakfield United Methodist Church. Arlene worked as a medical secretary for D.W. McCormick Orthopedic Clinic in Fond du Lac from 1952 – 1956 and was a customer service secretary for Well’s Manufacturing from 1981 – 1986. She retired as bookkeeper for Irv’s Appliance in Oakfield in 1998. She was a very active member of Oakfield United Methodist Church and was church secretary part time from 1965 – 1988 and full time until 1998. Arlene was founder and charter member of Fond du Lac County Healthcare Center Auxiliary from 1970 – present and started the gift shop at the Healthcare Center (Harbor Haven). She also has volunteered for Salvation Army over 15 years. In 2012 Arlene received the Senior Volunteer of the Year Award. Arlene was also a member of Equitable Reserve Association, Oakfield Assembly 108, and Fond du Lac Senior Center. She enjoyed baking, reading, crossword puzzles, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Irvin; two children, Kevin (Lorri) Pea of Mayville and Julie (Dean) Wild of Brownsville; two grandsons, Matthew (Megan) Pea and Nicholas Pea; twin brothers, Kenneth (Darlene) Pautsch and Keith (Violette) Pautsch all of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The visitation will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Oakfield United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Oakfield United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Avoca Cemetery.
Memorials are appreciated to Harbor Haven, Salvation Army, Oakfield United Methodist Church, or American Heart Association in Arlene’s name.
