Arlice M. Kunkle

Arlice M. Kunkle, 91, of Rosendale, died Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born at home July 30, 1933, daughter of Harvey and Mildred (Krause) Miller. She was the middle child of three girls. She attended Rosendale schools graduating from Rosendale Union Free High School. On August 4, 1951 she married Donald Kunkle. In 1952, August 12, her son, John was born. Three years later her daughter, Deborah made their family of four.

She enjoyed the outdoors in her flower beds, gardening, watching the Packers and Brewers, entertaining her family, and church was most important to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Wilde; sister-in-law, Marsyl Kunkle; daughter-in-law, Connie Ostroski; her niece who was like a second daughter, Nanette Leichtfuss; three grandchildren, Jason (Dana) Kunkle, Lisa (Cory) Wilde Wulff Plumb, Sarah Martin; five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Nova, and Weston Martin, Shawn Kunkle, and Jaxson Wulff Plumb; nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, John; and two sisters, Adeline Liptow and Shirley Potratz. 

The visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, N7987 Town Hall Road in Eldorado. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday at church. Burial will be held in Rosendale Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
