Arlyle O. Turnblom, 90, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, September 06, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Charlene Bille, who faithfully cared for her the past 71/2 years. She was born September 27, 1922, in Quinney, the daughter of Alfred and Rosebud Welch Moon. On February 28, 1948, she married Erwin E. Turnblom at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2005. Arlyle was formerly employed by Wells Manufacturing for 24 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aide, Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Auxiliary, and a proud member of the Brothertown Nation. Surviving are her daughters, Charlene Bille of Fond du Lac, and Jane (Walter) Braford of Van Dyne, a granddaughter, Jennifer (Christopher) Schwartz of Fond du Lac, a great-granddaughter, Layla Schwartz, also of Fond du Lac, a step-grandson, George (Amy) Braford of Van Dyne, a step-granddaughter, Becke (Ron) Barnett of Eldorado, eight step-great-grandchildren, special cousins, Caroline Wood of Fond du Lac, Steve (Loran) Jacobs of Chilton, a sister-in-law, Hilda Moon, of Quinney, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, James Moon, Sr., and two special cousins.
Visitation for Arlyle Turnblom will be on Sunday, September 9, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday, September 10, 2012, from 10 to 11 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 11 AM at the church on Monday. The Rev. Jonathan Christensen will officiate and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.
