Arman K. Krause, 82, of 38 Robin Drive, North Fond du Lac, died Friday, February 2, 2007, Irwin Army Hospital, Fort Riley, KA. He was born November 11, 1924, in Fond du Lac, the son of Albert and Marie Bluemke Krause. On April 10, 1948, he married Virginia A. Grusnick at St. Josephs Church in Waupun. Arman attended St. Peters Lutheran School and was a graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy. Mr. Krause was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. He was formerly employed by St. Agnes Hospital for 29 years as a cashier, retiring in December of 1988. Arman was a veteran of WW II serving with the 538th MP Service Company as a Staff Sergeant. Among his memberships were the St. Agnes Credit Union, where he was a past President and Treasurer, past Secretary of the All City Lutheran Bowling League for 12 years, a past member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church Choir for 30 years, a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Men's Choir for two years, a member of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75, and served on church councils and ushered for Faith Evangelical Lutheran and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Churches. He had been a crossing guard for the City of Fond du Lac since 1993, Secretary for the Friday Night Therapy Club, and was a former employee of the Postal Railroad Service for one year. He was a coach of 12 years, and past President of the Boys City Baseball League, and was inducted into the Boys Baseball League Hall of Fame. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Virginia, two sons, Kenneth M. (Linda) Krause and Jerome (Debbi) Krause, both of Fond du Lac, one daughter, Mary (Richard) Klubertanz of Stoughton, WI, 13 grandchildren; Tammy (John) Groszczyk of Pewaukee, WI, Craig Krause of Portage, WI, Theresa (Trevor) Lauber of Fond du Lac, SSG Scott Arman (Cheyenne) Krause of Ft. Riley, KA, Christine Krause of Milwaukee, James Arman Krause of Fond du Lac, Timothy (Kimberly) Krause of Fond du Lac, SGT Michael Arman (Angie) Krause, USMC, MOBCOM, Kansas City, MO, Christopher Krause of Fond du Lac, Kyle Sweet of Fond du Lac, Amanda Marie Krause of Fond du Lac, Kayla Sweet of Fond du Lac, and Carissa Klubertanz of Stoughton, WI, and six great grandchildren. He is further survived by two brothers, Gilbert (Lillian) Krause of Hibbing, MN, and Wallace Krause of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, a son-in-law, Daniel (Teresa) Sweet of Fond du Lac, two step grandchildren, Ryan and Christa, three sisters-in-law, Rosemary (Marion) Detweiler of Williamsburg, IA, Laverne (Francis) Hesprich, and Rita Grusnick both of Fond du Lac. His parents, two daughters, Elizabeth Krause and Rose Marie Sweet, a grandson, Jonathon Krause, a sister, Esther Rueping, and a brother, Norman Krause, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Arman Krause will be on Thursday, February 8, 2007, from 1:30 to 4 pm at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 4 pm on Thursday at the church. The Rev. Thomas Behnke will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Members of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Firing Squad will conduct graveside military rites. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund.
