Armin R. Greunke, 85, of 1229 Primrose Lane, died Friday, August 25, 2006, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born April 16, 1921, in Auburndale, WI, the son of Richard and Anna Wempner Greunke. On December 4, 1943, he married Dorothy Broeske in Dorchester, WI. Armin was a member of Hope Lutheran Church where he sang in the church choir. He was formerly employed by Moraine Park Technical College and taught Auto Mechanics for 18 years before his retirement in 1983. Prior to this, he worked in several garages in the Marshfield area. After retirement, he started Colonial Treasures (antique purchasing), and was known as the Clock Doc (the repair of clocks). He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy, a son, Dennis (Becky) Greunke of Madison, two grandsons, Denny and Matthew Greunke, both of Madison, a sister, Erma Thompson of Tulsa, OK, four brothers, Orville (Carol) Greunke of Milford, CT, Ceylon (Regina) Greunke of Milwaukee, Richard (Ardis) Greunke of Milladore, WI, and Delbert (Joan) Greunke of Marshfield, WI. Nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents, a daughter, Sharon Greunke, a son, Roger, five sisters, Helen Peterson, Estelle Wilhorn, Alma Wilhorn, Ella Anderson, and Viola Corbeille preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Armin R. Greunke will be on Monday, August 28, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, from 10 to 11 am at Hope Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11 am at the church. The Rev. David Lieske will officiate and burial will be on Wednesday, August 30, 2006, in the Port Edwards Community Cemetery, Port Edwards, WI.
