Arnold Adolph Heise, 89, of North Fond du Lac, died Friday, November 16, 2018 at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born December 20, 1928, the son of Adolph and Josephine MacDonald Heise. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 – 1953, stationed in Japan during the Korean War. On December 2, 1950 he married Betty M. Prange at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. Arnold worked for the Soo Line Railroad and later Aramark retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed running, hurdling, walking, fishing, reading, nature, and his dogs.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol McHugh Ryan of Hilton Head Island, SC and Janet (Philip) Dumas of Naperville, IL; two granddaughters, Erin (Chase) Babcock of San Jose, CA and Cara (William) Pheiffer of Charleston, SC; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; son-in-law, Peter Ryan; and three brothers, Robert, William, and David.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at St. Pauls’s Lutheran Church in North Fond du lac. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Marqaurdt Hospice in Arnold’s name.
