Arthur J. Beyer

Arthur J. Beyer, 73, formerly of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born February 12, 1931, in Fond du Lac, a son of Orwin F. and Delia Chassee Beyer. On May 30, 1968, he married Marguerite (Mills) Wilson. She preceded him in death in 1990. Mr. Beyer was a graduate of St. Mary's Springs and was formerly employed by the State of Wisconsin as a Certified Public Accountant, and also by the Internal Revenue Service as an auditor. Arthur was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and later served with the Wisconsin Air National Guard's 440th Military Transport Service, retiring as a Colonel. He was a member of Alonzo-Cudworth American Legion Post of Milwaukee and the Master Singers of Milwaukee.Surviving are two step-sons, Charles (Carol) Wilson of Milwaukee, and Joseph (Joyce) Wilson of Madison, four step-grandchildren, Joshua and Jonathan Wilson, Paul (Paula) Nagy, and Laura (Jonathan) Barid, six step-great-grandchildren, Daniel, David, and Natalia Nagy, and Tyler, Connor, and Ashley Wilson. He is further survived by a nephew, Dick (Pat) Beyer of Fond du Lac, two nieces, Karen Bredeson of Chandler, AZ, and Ann (Adam) Swartz of Minnesota, six great-nephews, William, Adam, and Michael Beyer, Robby and Ryan Bredeson, and Ben Driscoll, and two great-nieces, Monica Beyer and Kelsey Bredeson. His parents, wife, a sister, Rosalie Beyer, three brothers, William, Richard, and Donald, and a niece, Linda Beyer Driscoll predeceased him.



Visitation for Mr. Arthur J. Beyer will be on Thursday, April 29, 2004, from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of The Word Burial services will be on Thursday, April 29, 2004, at 11 am at the funeral home. The Rev. Edward Sippel will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to St. Mary's Springs High School, 255 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
