Audrey E. Whitty

Audrey E. Whitty, 78, of 1032 Buttermilk Creek Drive, died Monday, February 28, 2011, at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born in Clayton, WI, February 12, 1933, the daughter of Theodore and Esther Bigler Abbuehl. Audrey was a 1951 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School and 1953 graduate of Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. St. Agnes Hospital and the former Fond du Lac Clinic formerly employed her. In addition, she was a school nurse for both the Fond du Lac public and parochial school systems, and the Campbellsport schools. Audrey was also employed at the former Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, the Cedar Lake Nursing Home of West Bend and the Riverside Nursing Home in La Crosse. She owned and operated the Deli-Whey in West Bend, and also worked at George Webb's in West Bend. Audrey was an active music parent in the support of the Marquis Drum and Bugle Corps of Fond du Lac, West Bend Patriots Drum and Bugle Corps and Blue Star Drum and Bugle Corps of La Crosse.Surviving is a son, Brian (Carol Fisher) Whitty of Madison, a daughter, Kristine (Robert) Rivera of Fond du Lac, one grandson, Christopher Whitty of Fond du Lac, two sisters, Ruth Ann Wurtz of Onalaska and Joyce (Dick) Krenke of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Her "grand cats", Kiera, Tigger, Pookie, Snickers, Jennyanydots, and Asparagus further survive her.



Visitation for Audrey E. Whitty will be on Monday, March 7, 2011, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM on Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Rosenberg will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park. A memorial has been established in Audrey's name.
