Audrey J. LindsleyAudrey J. Lindsley, 72, of 995 Sycamore Tree Drive, died Saturday, December 31, 2005, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident since November 16th. She was born April 23, 1933, in Oakfield, the daughter of Russell and Ruth Panzer Lurvey. On May 10, 1952, she married James M. Lindsley at New Post Chapel; Fort Sill, OK by Colonel Benjamin P. Marsgal, chaplain. She attended and graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1951. Audrey was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church, a past council and finance committee member, trustee, parish lector, eucharistic minister, and member of the Altar Society. She was a member and past president of Soroptimist International of Fond du Lac, a board member of Beacon House, and past president of United Way, and a volunteer at the Hospice Home of Hope. Audrey retired from First Wisconsin in 1990 and from Bank One in 1999. She was employed in the banking industry for 35 years.Surviving is her husband, James, two daughters, Christine (William) Makowski and Colleen (Brian) Sabel, both of Fond du Lac, a son, Mark Lindsley of Fond du Lac, six grandchildren, Jamie and Tricia Makowski, Megan and Amanda Sabel, and Katlyn and Adam Lindsley, a sister, Patricia Thorpe of De Forrest, WI, and a brother, Richard (Jackie) Lurvey of Fairfield Glade, TN. She is further survived by two half sisters, Sharon Gargiulo of Mesa, AZ, and Kathy (Joe) Burgert of Nahma, MI, three half brothers, Thomas (Susan) Lurvey of Oshkosh, Greg (Judy) Lurvey of Neshkoro, WI, and Steve Lurvey of Rhinelander, WI, and her step mother, Roseanne Lurvey of Oshkosh, and step father, Carl Cotsakis of Tempe, AZ. Her parents, and a granddaughter, Carrie Ann Makowski, preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Audrey J. Lindsley will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at 10 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am on Wednesday at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church. The Revs. Victor Capriolo and Patrick Heppe will officiate and entombment will be in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
