Barb L. Ballwanz

Barb L. Ballwanz, 60, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully Sunday, May 10, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 30, 1954 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Robert “Bob” D. and Lorraine O. Abler Ballwanz. Barb was a graduate of Goodrich High School Class of 1973. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and worked for Pick N Save for many years. Barb enjoyed reading and loved to travel. She has traveled to all seven continents, and her final trip was on angel’s wings.



She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Ballwanz; four siblings, Karen (Mike) Boede, Sandy (John) Bebow, Bob (Deb) Ballwanz, and Lori (Paul) Obrecht; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Michael, and Calvin Boede, Bryan, Ben, Brad, Alyson, and Ashton Bebow, Brittany, Bethany, and Brennan Ballwanz, Madison (Zach) Bealer, Nick, Ethan, and Katie (David Hardie) Rhoades; and her faithful companion, Molly. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Ballwanz; maternal grandparents, William and Rose Abler; paternal grandparents, Edward and Ella Ballwanz.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again Thursday at church from 9:00 – 10:45 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Cremation has taken place.



At Barb’s request memorials can be made in her name to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, St. Agnes Cancer Center, or the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
