Barbara A. Bau

Barbara A. Bau, 75, of North Fond du Lac, died Sunday, September 15, 2013, at her residence. She was born May 20, 1938, in London, England, the daughter of Thomas and Violet (Biggs) Gudge. Barbara met her future husband, Charles H. Bau, while he was stationed in England with the US Army. They were later married in Sheboygan on February 8, 1958. Barbara was very proud of her English heritage and in 1966 she attained dual citizenship becoming a US citizen. For 25 years, she worked alongside her husband in his business, CHB Marketing Limited. She was a very active member of Community United Methodist Church in North Fond du Lac, and was a founding member of the Fond du Lac chapter of the Trans-Atlantic Brides & Parents Association. Barbara was an avid gardener and homemaker who enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles, two sons, Charles T. (Linda) Bau of North Fond du Lac, and Jeffrey P. (Jennifer) Bau of Neenah, a daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Colla of Fond du Lac, and six grandchildren, Jillian (Special Friend Jerry Alder) Bau, Alyssa (Fiancé Christopher Schwab) Bau, Natalie Bau, Christopher Colla, Phillip Bau, and Stephanie Bau, and her sister-in-law, Barbara Rickmeier of Sheboygan. She is further survived by many relatives and friends including her lifelong friend, Jean Barrett, of England. She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law, Floyd and Glenore Bau.



Visitation for Barbara A. Bau will be on Friday, September 20, 2013, from 3 to 6 PM at Community United Methodist Church, 701 Minnesota Avenue, North Fond du Lac. Memorial services will be at 6 PM at the church on Friday. Cremation has taken place. The Rev. Justin Elliott Lowe will officiate and inurnment of cremated remains will be in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Town of Eldorado at a later date.
