Barbara A. Olson, 63, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, August 17, 2012 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on February 2, 1949 in Green Bay, the daughter of Robert and Geraldine (Bloemers) Huempfner. Barb was a 1968 graduate of Waupun High School. She previously worked at Ripon Food's and Haentze's Floral and currently was the manager at Liberty House in Fond du Lac. She was a lifelong caregiver and took great joy in helping others. Barb's grandchildren were the light of her life. She also enjoyed spending time at Sunset Resort in Vilas County.SURVIVORS: four children, Angela (Benjamin Winter) Olson of Fond du Lac, Steve (Becky) Olson of Fond du Lac, Aaron (Allie Buerger) of Fond du Lac, Nate (Carla) Olson of Oshkosh, twelve grandchildren, Meghan, Erika, Hannah, Keegan, Breanna, Ethan, Isabella, Liliana, Isla, Corinne, Noah, Natalie, her mother, Geraldine Huempfner of Brandon, five siblings, Robert Huempfner of Fond du Lac, Patty (Wes) Aalsma of Brandon, Phil Huempfner of Brandon, Bruce Huempfner of Brandon, Deb (Jerry) Miller of Waupun, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Carol Huempfner, one nephew, Jeremy Aalsma.



VISITATION: Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 2-6 P.M. at Lighthouse Christian Church, 401 S. National Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at Lighthouse Christian Church with the Reverend Brent Balken officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Special thanks to Hospice Home of Hope for their care and compassion for Barb.
