Barbara A. Stoegbauer

October 15, 1935 — December 8, 2015

Barbara A. Stoegbauer, age 80, of Fond du Lac, entered into her eternal home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 08, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on October 15, 1935 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Harold and Eva (Hoffman) Mueller. On May 4, 1957 she married Duane J. Stoegbauer at Grace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1956. Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Agnes Hospital for forty-one years until retiring in 1998. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Ladies of Good Shepherd. She volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital, the Fond du Lac Senior Center, Lutherans for Life, and the Samaritan Health Clinic. Barbara enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, playing cards with her friends and cribbage with her husband, and especially going fishing with her husband in Canada and Northern Wisconsin. Barbara will always be remembered for her kindness to others and how she led by example through her strong Christian faith.



SURVIVORS: her husband Duane J. Stoegbauer of Fond du Lac; five children, Julie (David) LaBorde of Fond du Lac, Jeanne Lasher of Fond du Lac, Karen (Paul) Nieman of Oshkosh, Kay (Francis) Post of Fond du Lac, and Joseph Stoegbauer of Fond du Lac; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Judith Waterman of Ham Lake, MN; sisters in law, Kathy (Ed) Templin of Fond du Lac, Connie (Darrell) Lemke of St. Peter, Sylvia (Paul) Wagner of Fond du Lac, Mary Lou Mueller of Oshkosh, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Yvonne Frank and Virginia Faust; one brother, William Mueller.



VISITATION: Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Rd, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Private family burial will take place on Monday at Ledgeview Memorial Park.



In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. The family will then distribute all donations to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and charitable organizations.



The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Agnesian Home Hospice and the staff and volunteers at Hospice Home of Hope for their care, compassion, and kindness. The family also wishes to thank friends and family for their prayers and support.
