Barbara "Barb" Bertram

Barbara "Barb" Bertram, 77, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 13, 1947, in Fond du Lac, she was the daughter of Albert and Marion Schmitz. On July 8, 1972, Barb married the love of her life, Anthony “Fritzie” Bertram at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. Alongside Fritzie, Barb owned and operated a dairy farm in Malone until they retired in 2009. She was a woman of many passions, including: cooking, gardening, bird watching, playing Sheepshead and “Barbie’s” Rummy. She cherished shopping trips and lunches with friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Barb is survived by four children, Mary Bertram of Menasha, Michael (Abigail) Bertram of Winneconne, Matthew (Nerissa) Bertram of North Fond du Lac, and Melissa Bertram of Oshkosh; seven beloved grandchildren, Lukas, Kensingtyn, Maddisyn, Ellea, Samuel, Olivia, and Colton; one sister, Carol (John) Cook of Neenah; one brother, Francis (Linda) Schmitz of Fond du Lac; one sister-in-law, Bernice (Gerald) Schmitz of St. Peter; aunt, Lillian Foote and uncle, John Schmitz; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Fritzie. 

The visitation will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 PM on Monday, September 9, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. Cremation will follow the services and private burial will be held in the church cemetery.
