Barbara E. Bergman

Barbara E. Bergman, 55, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born December 19, 1958 in West Bend, WI, the daughter of Willis E. and Florence A. Appenzeller Haumschild. On September 14, 2007 she married Frederick O. Bergman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nekimi. She worked at Taycheedah Correctional Facility for 20 years retiring in 2009. Barbara was a member of Holy Family Parish. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul and St. John’s Food Pantry. She enjoyed reading, traveling, going for walks, bike riding, playing rummy and cribbage, loved spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Lucy.



She is survived by her husband, Frederick; one daughter, Elizabeth (Neil) Peterson of Plover; one son, Patrick Sweeney of Oshkosh; two grandchildren, Isadora and Oliver Peterson; two sisters, Margaret (Dave) Hein and Patty Klunk both of Plymouth; two brothers, David (Heike) Haumschild of Lorsch, Germany and William (Sherri) Haumschild of Plymouth; four dear nieces and four dear nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steven Haumschild.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara’s name can be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
