Barbara J Pierce

Barbara J. Pierce, 77, formerly of Fond du Lac, and currently a resident of Green Lake, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born March 24, 1935, in Griffin, GA, the daughter of Elbert and Mildred Flynt Lane. On August 11, 1954, she married John "Jack" Pierce in Griffin, GA. Barbara was formerly employed by St. Agnes Hospital for 37 ½ years, retiring in 1996. Surviving is her husband, Jack, three sons, Rick (Jenny) Pierce of Charlotte, NC, Ronald (Jackie) Pierce of Green Lake, and Jay (Ana Maria) Pierce of Miami, 13 grandchildren, Thomas, Gregory, Timothy, Samantha, Lindsay, Alacia, Sean, Christopher, Matthew, Natalie, Andrew, John, and Sofia a sister, Linda (Lee) Sprayberry of Griffin, GA, and two brothers, Sammy (Marian) Lane, and Edward Lane, both of Griffin, GA. Her parents, a brother, Donald Lane, and a sister-in-law, Lucille Lane, preceded her in death.



Visitation for Barbara J. Pierce will be on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday, August 31st, from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon at St. Mary's Church-Holy Family Parish, 93 Marquette Street, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon at the church on Wednesday. The Rev. Luke Strand will officiate and entombment will be in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Barbara's name.
