Barbara L. Bengel

Barbara L. Bengel, 61, of 399 Russell St, Fond du Lac, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her home after a three year courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. She was born on May 2, 1951 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of William and Ruth (Polinske) Oaks. On June 28, 1970 she married Michael C. Bengel at Church of Peace by Rev. Martin Koehler. Barbara was employed at Mid-States Aluminum until retiring in 2007. She was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara enjoyed fishing, camping, and loved the Fond du Lac Bears. She was a true people-person who enjoyed socializing with family, friends, or anyone she would meet. SURVIVORS: her husband Michael of Fond du Lac, a daughter, Roxanne of Madison, Scott and his wife Heidi of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, Allison Bengel, Conor Wilson, Carli Bengel, Sydney Bengel, and Madeline Bengel, one sister, Delores Prochnow, two brothers in law, Tom Bengel, and Ken Prochnow, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one grandchild.



VISITATION: Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
