Barbara M. Due, 80, of Fond du Lac, died at her residence on Saturday, December 21, 2013. She was born August 25, 1933, in Staten Island, New York, the daughter of Olaf and Florence Webber-Lawson Due. Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Fond du Lac High School, and received her Bachelor's degree from Ripon College in 1957. For the first 24 years, Barbara taught English in North Fond du Lac. Moving to Markesan in 1982, she again taught English at Markesan High School until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul the Apostle and its Altar Guild. Barbara supported many humane organizations, including the Fond du Lac Humane Society. She was a member of the Fond du Lac Historical Society and a life-long DEMOCRAT. She is survived by many friends and colleagues, including Christine (Larry) Cooper of Rosendale, Susan (Gerald) Sonnleitner of Green Lake, Kathy Palmer of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Dawn Rollag of Appleton. Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation for Barbara M. Due will be on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 10 to 11 AM at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul the Apostle, 51 W. Division Street, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM at the Cathedral. The Very Rev. Brian Beno will officiate and burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
