Beade “Bea” Meyer, age 86, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, September 12, 2016, at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on May 2, 1930 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Henry and Alvina (Hilgeberg) Langolf. On October 4, 1947 she married Edwin A. Meyer at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1996. Bea worked for Mercury Marine for thirty years retiring in 1995. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale, the Merc Century Club, the Gold and Silver Club, and the Merc Retirees Club. Bea volunteered for Special Olympics and was involved with the Law Enforcement Run, Good Sam Camping Club and Wisconsin Voyagers, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and crafting. She was an avid bowler and bowled for many years in the Karl-Ray Ladies League.
SURVIVORS: one son, Wayne (Betty) Meyer and their children, Wanda Meyer and Bradley (Sue) Meyer; son-in-law, Mike Davis and his children, Scott (Stacey) Davis, Christine Broehm, and Jeff Davis; daughter-in-law, Sue Meyer and her children, Kim (Kyle Retzlaff) Vesper, and Shawn Meyer; twelve great-grandchildren, Sabrina (special friend Aaron) Meyer, Preston and Addison Meyer; Peter, Zachary, and Michael Broehm; Morgan and Sienna Davis; Anthony, Jessica, and Lindsay Vesper, and Jayden Retzlaff; one sister, Theresa Timm; sister-in-law, Margie Langolf; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edwin; daughter, Sandra Davis; son, Roy Meyer; brothers, John and Peter; two sisters, Alvina and Maggie; brother-in-law, Norm.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 2-4:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
