Beatrice A. Langkau, 96, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Woodlands Senior Park. She was born June 20, 1921 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Cecil Palmer. On June 20, 1939 she married Lawrence W. Langkau at St. John’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh. She farmed many years with her husband and later worked for the Stretch Motel and Wells Manufacturing, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. She was very involved in Healing Paws for many years. Beatrice enjoyed crocheting, traveling, animals, and loved spending time with family.
She is survived by six children, Larry (Cheri) Langkau of Oakfield, Lois (Doug) Immel of Fond du Lac, Jean (Dick) Kunde of Berlin, Betty (Dave) Klahn of Fond du Lac, Mary (Dave) Michaels of Fond du Lac, and John Langkau of Van Dyne; one son-in-law, Gary Nimmer of Fond du Lac; eighteen grandchildren; forty two great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; special friend, Suzie Reschke; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Margie Nimmer; two sisters; one brother; and her cat, Sandy.
The visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 9:30 – 11:30 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Holy Family Church. Entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
