BERNARD A. HEBERTBernard A. Hebert, age 75, of 5260 Barbara Way, Las Vegas, NV, died Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1929 in Fond du Lac the son of Glenn and Helen Barnes Hebert. On June 21, 1958 he married Phyllis Hebert in Bradley, IL. Bernard retried as master sergeant from the United States Army, he served in the Korean, Thailand, and Vietnam conflicts from which he received a Bronze Star medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal. After retiring from the military, he and his wife ran a foster home for over fifteen years in Fond du Lac. Over three hundred foster kids went through their home. Prior to retiring, he worked at Tuffshed in Las Vegas where he and his wife retired. SURVIVORS: his wife, Phyllis, a son and daughter in law, William and Deb Hebert of Fond du Lac, a daughter and son in law, Cindy and Michael of San Antonio, TX, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Leo and Edna Hebert of Rayville, LA, and Gerald Hebert of Oshkosh, three sisters, Edie Bleichwel of Oshkosh, Margaret and Eugene Krause of Fond du Lac, and Dorothy and Irv Schmick of Markesan, and their families.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday. June 28, 2005, at 3:30 pm at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate. Inurnment of cremated remains will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum following military honors. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
