Bernetta M. SchmitzBernetta M. Schmitz, age 93, from Woodlands Senior Park (formerly from N9545 TownHall Road, Town of Marshfield) died Sunday March 25, 2012 at Woodlands Senior Park. She was born on September 26, 1918 in Town of Marshfield, the daughter of Edward Sabel and Elizabeth Schaefer Sabel. On January 14, 1942, she married Clarence J. Schmitz at Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary. Mrs. Schmitz was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. She was formerly employed by Tecumseh Products. Mrs. Schmitz was a member of St. John's Altar & Rosary Society.Surviving are three sons, Larry (Jan) Schmitz of Muskego, Paul (Judy) Schmitz of Malone, and Michael (Chris) Schmitz of Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren; one step great great grandson; one sister, Julitta Bertram of St. Peter, three sisters-in-law, Leona (Roger) Stephany of Johnsburg, Agnes Berenz of New Holstein and Gertrude Merten of Johnsburg.She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, her parents; a brother, Leander Sabel; her sister, Elfreida Schmitz; five brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.



Visitation: will be held on Thursday March 29, 2012 from 3pm to 6pm at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6 pm at the church. Rev. Joseph Coerber will officiate. Entombment will take place at 10:00 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Special thanks to Woodland's Staff for the excellent care they gave mother for the past seven years. Also thanks to Hospice for their assistance during her time of need.
