Bernice "Dolly" C. Rupert

Bernice “Dolly” C. Rupert, 103, of Oshkosh, departed this Earth to enter her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Crossroads Care Center.  She was born September 12, 1920 in South Milwaukee, the daughter of Martin and Meta (Beskow) Dolar.  On January 17, 1940 she married Gordon J. Rupert and he preceded her in death in 1992. She eventually found love again in a very special relationship with Conrad Ricardo “Rick.” He also preceded her in death.

 Dolly worked for SNC in Oshkosh until her retirement. She enjoyed browsing in stores, car rides, and traveling, especially going down south to warmer weather. She had a sweet tooth and a sweet spot for barn cats and strays. Other hobbies included playing cards and occasional visits to the casinos. She loved a good fish fry. She was a long-time member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Van Dyne before transferring to St. Paul’s in North Fond du Lac in 2019. She loved her ever-growing family and rarely missed sending her children, and three generations of grandchildren, birthday cards. She was always dressed beautifully with colorful, matching jewelry and a gorgeous head of hair! Her smile, quick wit, and loving soul will be greatly missed.

 She is survived by four children, Gordon (Kathy) Rupert of Crandon, Gary (Paula) Rupert of Columbia, KY, Rochelle Spratt of Boise, ID, and Trudy Miller of North Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son-in-law, Larry Spratt; grandson, Todd Rupert; three sisters and one brother.

 The visitation will be held Monday, February 5, 2024 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park in Oak Creek.
