Bernice H. Macksam

Bernice H. Macksam, 86, formerly of 441 Bischoff Street, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at St. Francis Home, where she had been a resident since October of 2004. She was born August 1, 1918, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of John L. and Anna M. Mohr Staples. On July 4, 1940, she married Victor E. Macksam at St. Patrick's Church. She and her husband would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this July 4th. Mrs. Macksam was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Patrick's Church. She was formerly employed by A.C. Nielsen Company, retiring in 1979. Surviving is her husband, Victor, two sons, James (Sue) Macksam of Palm Harbor, FL, and J. Peter (Karen) Macksam of Germantown, WI, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Further surviving are two sisters, LaVerna Gozinske of Ripon, and Betty Feucht of Tucson, AZ. Her parents, two sisters, and a brother preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Bernice H. Macksam will be on Friday, April 15, 2005, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial will be at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
