Bernice O "Bea" Petri

Bernice O. "Bea" Petri, 86, formerly of 237 18th Street, and currently a resident of Manor Care Nursing Center, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at her residence. She was born October 24, 1921, in Kewaskum, the daughter of William C. and Anna K. Scheid Backhaus. On February 14, 1942, she married Myron "Mike" E. Petri in West Bend. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1967. Bernice was a graduate of cosmetology school, and was a beautician for 59 years, retiring in 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (James) Parish of South Byron, and Victoria (Richard) Schara of McHenry, IL; three grandchildren, Patricia Ann Parish of Santa Clara, CA, Shana Schara of McHenry, IL, and Grant (Jessica) Schara of Chicago, IL, a brother, Glenway (Gretchen) Backus of Nelson, British Columbia, Canada, and two brothers-in-law, Bruce (Eileen) Petri and Earl (Martha) Petri, both of Kewaskum. Her parents, husband, three sisters, and one brother preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Bernice O. "Bea" Petri will be on Sunday, May 4, 2008, from 5 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 pm at the funeral home. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
