Bernice P. Meyer

Bernice P. "Gubby" Meyer, age 90, formerly of Rhinelander, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at ManorCare Health Services. She was born on February 22, 1914 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Harry and Lillian Meilahn Gatzke. On September 7, 1940 she married Clarence "Mike" Meyer in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1975. She worked at Infant Socks and Dick Brothers Bakery. She was a life long member of Church of Peace-United Church of Christ, and also a member of Church of Christ in Rhinelander. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and boat rides with her dog Sam and many other lake activities. Also Bernice volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.SURVIVORS: three sons, Michael (Betty) Meyer of Fond du Lac, Dennis "Shane" (Debbie Ann) Meyer of Rhinelander, John (Marilyn) Meyer of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mike, three brothers, Howard, Norman, and Arlyn.



VISITATION: Saturday, April 17, 2004 from 11-1 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Richard Weikel officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
